Director Integrace Institute
Cindy Yingling has been working in the senior living field for 21 years at Integrace. She currently serves as the Director of the Integrace Institute and oversees all the research and education initiatives. She also works with the senior leadership team in the development of new innovative programming initiatives at Copper Ridge including expanded services at the Proxmire Memory Clinic, a new bistro concept and an adult day/night program. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Towson University.
Dr. Tabassum Majid
Director of Research
Dr. Tabassum Majid has had both a personal and professional passion in caregiver-care recipient dyads in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias since she was a caregiver for her grandparents as a teenager. A native Marylander, Dr. Majid received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County concentrating in an interdisciplinary approach to Neurodegenerative Disorders of the Aged. She then gained expertise in the pathology, imaging, and biology of dementia from both pre-clinical and clinical perspectives in Houston, TX, where she earned her PhD from Baylor College of Medicine. She then returned to Maryland to complete a fellowship at the University of Maryland, School of Pharmacy researching care management decisions with caregivers and individuals with dementia, which is providing an evidence base to evaluate both health services and social programs tailored to the needs of both caregivers and their care recipients at Integrace Communities. Dr. Majid also is a member of the Maryland Governor’s Council on Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders and contributes to the development and implementation of the Maryland State Plan.
Dementia Research and Education Associate
Jill Bucolo came to the Integrace Institute in 2014. She collaborates with the Institute team to promote person-centered approaches to supporting individuals with neurocognitive disorders. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from Shepherd University and a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design from UMBC. Jill continues to progress towards excelling in creating new ways to meet the needs of caregivers through person-centered approaches. Currently she is working towards her Master of Arts in Instructional Design, gaining new and innovative skill sets to support the Integrace Institute in meeting their mission and vision.
Director of Education
Allison Ciborowski has more than 7 years of experience working in the elder supports and services field, including hospice admissions and marketing, directing recreation and engagement programs in assisted living, and specialized education program development related to Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Since 2011, she has led the development of the Institute’s educational initiatives for healthcare professionals, family caregivers, and the greater community. Ms. Ciborowski’s work as Director of Education includes creating curricula and programs that foster meaningful learning experiences, building and maintaining an engaged and knowledgeable team of educators, and developing collaborative relationships and partnerships with universities, organizations, and companies whose work contributes to a more person – and not disease and deficit – centered world. Ms. Ciborowski is on the LeadingAge Maryland Education Committee, and is a member of the Human Services Advisory Board in the Department of Family Studies at Towson University.
